About

I’m Maddie, a classically trained vocalist with years of vocal training and live performance experience. I currently sing professionally in a church choir, perform in a Christian band, and record and release original music as my solo artist project, PEARL LYNN.

I’m passionate about helping singers build healthy vocal technique while growing their confidence and finding their own unique voice. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your singing, I provide a supportive, encouraging environment where students can learn proper breathing, vocal control, pitch, tone, and performance skills at their own pace.

My goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, personalized, and focused on helping you become the best singer you can be. I look forward to helping you reach your vocal goals!

Teaching Style

I believe singing should be both challenging and fun. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether you want to build confidence, improve your technique, or simply enjoy singing more. I break concepts down into easy-to-understand steps and provide constructive feedback in a positive, encouraging way. Every lesson is customized to the student’s pace, and I strive to create an environment where mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process and every student feels comfortable using their voice.

Curriculum

My lessons focus on building a healthy vocal foundation through proper breathing, posture, vocal warm-ups, resonance, pitch accuracy, and performance techniques. I customize each lesson to the student’s experience level and goals, incorporating songs they enjoy while developing strong, sustainable vocal habits.

No required textbook. Students are encouraged to bring songs they enjoy singing. I provide personalized vocal exercises, warm-ups, and learning materials based on each student’s goals. For students interested in classical training, I may recommend appropriate vocal repertoire and exercises as they progress.

Credentials & Affiliations

I am a classically trained vocalist with extensive experience in vocal performance, choral music, and contemporary music. From 2018–2024, I studied voice and choral music at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School in Cocoa Beach, Florida. My training included both in-school and extracurricular instruction through individual vocal work, small ensembles, and large choirs, with an emphasis on vocal technique, musicianship, sight-reading, harmony, and live performance.

Throughout all six years at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School, I was selected to participate in the Brevard All-County Honor Choir through a county-wide selection process. I performed with the ensemble at the King Center for the Performing Arts and participated in advanced rehearsals and performances alongside vocalists from throughout Brevard County. I also participated in Music Performance Assessments (MPA), earned Superior and Excellent ratings, and was selected for solo features in choir performances.

In addition to performing, I developed leadership experience as a choir section leader during high school, helping support other singers within my section with music, harmonies, and ensemble preparation. I continue to serve as a section leader in my current church choir.

Since 2022, I have performed regularly at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach, Florida. I currently work there as a paid vocalist and perform in several settings, including solo vocals, choir, duet work, and contemporary worship music. I also perform as a vocalist with Psalm 66, a Christian band based at Riverside Presbyterian Church, where I have sung since 2022.

Outside of my regular church performances, I have performed solo at local venues and open-mic events throughout Brevard County, including The Landing Rooftop in Melbourne as well as performances in Cocoa Beach and Cocoa Village. These performances have given me experience adapting to different live settings and performing contemporary music as a solo vocalist.

I also write, record, and release original music under the artist name PEARL LYNN. I began releasing original music in 2025 and have released multiple singles, including “Yesterday Again,” “In His Eyes,” and “Still Got Away With It,” and I continue to actively write, record, and release new music. Through my work as an independent recording artist, I have gained hands-on experience with studio recording, vocal arranging, harmony, interpretation, and preparing vocals for professionally produced releases.

My background combines formal vocal and choral training, live solo and ensemble performance, recording experience, and vocal leadership. As a teacher, I aim to help students develop healthy vocal technique, confidence, musicianship, performance skills, and their own individual sound in a supportive environment.
