Martin Rizov

I am a professional pianist and piano teacher based in Trieste, Italy. I completed advanced piano studies at the Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Tartini” in Trieste, where I developed extensive experience in solo performance, chamber music, interpretation, and advanced piano technique.

I have performed in Italy and abroad and have received numerous prizes in national and international piano competitions. My concert repertoire includes works by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Scriabin, Debussy, Ravel, and other major composers.

Among my recent achievements are prizes at international competitions in Trieste, Belluno, Piove di Sacco, San Donà di Piave, Cervignano, Girona, Lazise, Pordenone, Mogliano Veneto, and Ohrid. I have also performed solo recitals and appeared in concerts in Italy, North Macedonia, Portugal, and Austria.

As a teacher, I work with students of different ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced pianists preparing for examinations, conservatory admission, competitions, auditions, and public performances.

I can teach in English, Italian, Croatian, Serbian, and Macedonian. My lessons may include classical piano, piano technique, sight-reading, music theory, interpretation, performance preparation, and effective practice strategies.

My teaching style is structured, encouraging, and adapted to the individual student.

I believe that every student has different strengths, challenges, musical interests, and learning habits. For this reason, I do not use exactly the same approach with everyone. I adjust the pace, repertoire, technical exercises, and explanations according to the student’s age, level, goals, and personality.
