About

I’m a professional musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 10 years of professional performance experience and 8 years of teaching experience. Since 2018, I have taught students throughout Rancho Santa Margarita and San Clemente, and online through Rancho Canyon Music, Roos Studios, and independently. I have taught guitar, drums, bass, vocals, ukulele, music production, and songwriting to students of a wide range of ages and experience levels, helping hundreds of students develop their skills and find their own creative voice.

As a teacher, I don't just want students to learn how to play their favorite songs, I want them to understand why those songs work. I enjoy breaking down how harmony, melody, rhythm, arrangement, tone, and other musical elements create different emotional effects, and then helping students apply those ideas to their own playing and songwriting. Whether a student wants to learn their favorite songs, improve their technique, understand music theory, develop their ear, write songs, or produce their own music, my goal is to give them the tools and understanding to become more independent and creative musicians.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is practical, creative, and tailored to each student. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all curriculum, I like to build lessons around the music you actually want to make. Whether you’re learning your first songs on guitar, developing your voice, trying to write your own music, or learning how to produce a complete track, I can help you turn your ideas into finished music.

I especially enjoy working with students interested in indie and alternative music, songwriting, music production, guitar, vocals, keys, bass, drums, and ukulele. My goal is to make music education feel inspiring and immediately useful while giving students the technical foundation they need to become more independent musicians.

Credentials & Affiliations

My professional music career has included performing and recording with local artists and bands throughout Orange County and Los Angeles, as well as performing on nationwide tours. I have performed at venues including The Viper Room, The Whisky a Go Go, The Wayfarer, and Programme Skate and Sound, among many other venues across the country. One of my career highlights was performing background vocals with Jason Mraz at the Hollywood Bowl. My experience as a working musician, recording artist, and producer gives me a practical perspective on both the technical and creative sides of making music.

I studied music at Saddleback College from 2018–2020 and also studied jazz guitar privately with Adam Hawley, a bestselling jazz guitarist and recording artist. My experience as a multi-instrumentalist and producer allows me to approach music from a broad perspective, connecting performance, songwriting, theory, rhythm, harmony, recording, and production.
