About
Max Bartos is an NYC-based guitarist, singer-songwriter, and performer with 12 years of experience on the instrument. Originally from Lancaster, PA, Max has built a career that spans indie folk, rock, and punk influences, releasing multiple albums, He most recently released the single "Diamond in the Rough" ahead of his upcoming EP Waiting at the Crossroads. Max is also signed with Noble Steed Music and Universal Attractions Agency and tours around the US consistently, most recently doing support slots for Rita Wilson, Howie Day, David Cook, and Brendan James.
Beyond his recording career, Max originated the role of "Darren" in the Original Broadway Cast of Sing Street. He currently teaches guitar at Brother's Guitar in NYC and works with private students on a freelance basis, bringing a working musician's real-world perspective into every lesson.

Max teaches with a genuine love for both music and mentorship. His approach blends structured, fundamentals-first training with a performance-driven mindset. With Max as their teacher, students don't just learn technique, they learn how to actually play music with confidence, whether that's in a living room or on a stage. Instead, he builds a custom lesson plan for each student based on their experience level, skill level, and personal goals; whether that's learning favorite songs, developing technique, writing original music, or preparing to perform. This individualized approach means every student's path looks different, shaped around how they want to grow as a player.
