About

I am a professional bassist, double bassist, composer and bandleader based in Belgrade, Serbia. I teach electric bass, fretless bass and double bass to students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players, in whatever style they want to play. I have more than 25 years of experience on electric bass, around 30 years on double bass, and about twenty years of experience teaching private students.

I hold a university degree in double bass from the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade (2007), and I completed the One-Year Advanced Music Performance & Production Course in Bass at the London Centre of Contemporary Music (LCCM), graduating with a Merit in 2008. That combination of classical training and contemporary performance study shapes how I teach: solid technique and reading on one side, groove, time feel and improvisation on the other.

As founder, composer and bassist of Bosque Sound Community, I have released four albums of original instrumental music — Four Noble Truths (2015), Escape from Urumchi (2019), Shambhala (Fantastic Jazz Suite) (2022) and 12 Angry Mushrooms (2024, A.MA Records / A.MA Edizioni) — and performed with the band's septet at the 41st Belgrade Jazz Festival in 2025. I also lead the Miloš Bosnić Trio (flute, double bass and percussion). Alongside my own projects, I record session bass for artists and producers across pop, rock, funk, soul, jazz, world and Serbian folk music, I have worked freelance with orchestral ensembles on double bass, and since 2011 I have been co-founder and bassist of VIVO Band, a working live band for private and corporate events.

Teaching Style

Every lesson starts from where you are and where you want to go. In our first lesson I listen to you play — or, if you are just starting, we set up your instrument, posture and hands — we talk about the music you love, and we agree on a clear, realistic goal for the next few weeks.

Beginners build healthy technique from the first day: coordination between the plucking and fretting hands, playing in time with a metronome and backing tracks, reading simple notation and chord symbols, and learning real bass lines from songs they enjoy. Intermediate and advanced students work on groove and time feel in different styles, walking bass, building their own lines from chord charts, improvisation, sight-reading, slap and pick technique, odd meters, and preparing for gigs and recording sessions.

Fretless students get focused work on intonation, shifting and the melodic, vocal side of the instrument. Double bass students work on posture, pizzicato and arco technique, intonation, jazz walking lines or classical repertoire, depending on their goals.

Because I perform and record professionally, my lessons stay connected to real musical situations: how to lock in with a drummer, how to serve a song, how to prepare a part for a session. My aim is that you leave every lesson knowing exactly what to practise and why. Lessons are taught in English; Serbian is also possible.
