Nikolay Rudnev
About
Hello! I’m Nikolay, a guitar teacher with 6 years of playing experience and over 3 years of teaching experience. I specialize in online guitar lessons and help students of different ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to intermediate players.
I studied at Children's Music School No. 18 in Samara, Russia, from 2015 to 2020, where I received formal music education and developed a strong foundation in music theory, ear training, and performance. I am currently a third-year Bachelor's student at the International Market Institute in Samara, Russia, studying Linguistics (Translation and Intercultural Communication).
Since 2022, I have been working as a private online guitar teacher. During this time, I have taught many students and gained extensive experience working with different personalities, learning styles, and musical goals. At my peak, I taught up to 25 lesson hours per week, and I continue teaching regular students today. Private guitar instruction remains my primary source of income.
Alongside teaching, I have experience performing live as a guitarist. I am a member of the rock band Merry-Go-Round, and I have performed at venues such as No Name Bar, Vechno Molodoy, and Podval in Samara, Russia. I have also performed with vocalists in duet projects and gained practical experience in live music performance.
My teaching approach is structured, practical, and personalized. I focus on helping students develop good technique, rhythm, musical understanding, and confidence while making the learning process enjoyable and motivating.
I have also attached several positive reviews from my students, which reflect their learning experience, progress, and satisfaction with my lessons.

Teaching Style:
My teaching style is friendly, motivating, and tailored to each student. I focus on hands-on practice, so you’ll start playing songs and riffs from day one. I break down techniques step by step — from barre chords and finger exercises to solos and improvisation — and make sure lessons are fun and engaging.
I encourage students to play songs they love, track their progress, and build confidence on guitar. Lessons are interactive, with live demonstrations, exercises, and backing tracks to help you improve quickly.
