I am a visual artist and qualified art teacher with a degree in sculpture and a formal teaching qualification. My work spans traditional and digital media, including graphite, charcoal, ink, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and digital drawing.

I have taught art in formal classroom settings and have more than ten years of experience in one-on-one art mentoring. My main areas of focus are drawing fundamentals, structure, proportion, observation, perspective, composition, figure drawing, and portraiture. I particularly enjoy helping students understand why something in a drawing is not working and showing them practical ways to improve it.

I work with students at different skill levels and adapt lessons to their individual goals. Whether someone wants to strengthen fundamental drawing skills, improve portraits and figures, understand perspective, or receive detailed feedback on their own work, my aim is to provide clear, practical guidance that can be applied directly to their art.

My teaching style is structured, practical, and highly personalized. I adapt each lesson to the student’s current level, goals, and the specific problems I see in their work rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum.

I focus on helping students understand structure, proportion, perspective, composition, form, and observation. When I identify a problem, I explain not only what is wrong but why it happens and how to correct it. When useful, I demonstrate solutions directly, draw over the student’s work, or create short examples to make the idea clear.

I also believe that improvement comes from focused work between lessons, so I often suggest specific studies or exercises based on the student’s needs. At the same time, I regularly include more creative projects and personal work, because continuous technical studies can become tiring and creativity should remain an important part of the learning process. I try to balance skill-building with enjoyable, imaginative assignments that allow students to apply what they have learned in their own way.

My goal is to help students become more independent, develop stronger visual judgment, and understand how to solve problems in their own work.
