Rahmaan Phillip

I'm Rahmaan Phillip, a Grammy recognized internationally performing violinist, violist and composer. My career has taken me to major stages around the world, including the Super Bowl, NFL productions, presidential events, and performances with artists including Lady Gaga.

But the most rewarding part of being a professional musician is helping another musician discover what they're capable of.

I teach violin and viola to adults, young musicians, serious students and advanced players. My approach combines solid technique with musical expression, performance skills and the development of your individual voice.

For beginners: I'll help you build a strong foundation without making the process overwhelming.

For intermediate players: We'll identify the things holding you back and build a structured path forward.

For advanced students: I offer performance coaching, audition preparation, repertoire guidance and professional-level musical mentorship.

For violists: I offer specialized viola instruction for students who want to strengthen technique, musicianship and confidence on the instrument.

Every student is different. Our first lesson is about understanding where you are, where you want to go, and creating a practical plan to get there.
