About
Welcome! Whether you are taking your first steps on the piano, deepening your grasp of music theory, or mastering digital notation software, I am thrilled to support your musical journey. Music has an incredible power to connect, express, and inspire, and my goal is to make your learning experience engaging, rewarding, and uniquely tailored to you.
As an experienced music instructor, piano accompanist, and dedicated multi-instrumental educator based in Calabar, I am passionate about helping students unlock their full musical potential. My approach bridges technical mastery and genuine artistic expression, whether we are diving into foundational piano mechanics, advanced music theory, or digital orchestration.
Over the years, I have built a robust background in music education and performance. I earned my musical certification from the Music Society of Nigeria (MUSON) in 2022 and The Masters Music Academy in 2020 and 2021, where I also honed my craft by teaching piano and music theory from 2018 to 2026. I further expanded my classroom and studio impact as a music instructor at Cheriehill School from 2024 to 2025. Alongside my foundational teaching work, I maintain active professional roles as a piano accompanist and organizational librarian, collaborating closely with vocalists, ensembles, and performance centers to deliver polished live music.
Beyond performance and traditional instruction, I specialize in digital music notation software, empowering student composers and arrangers to bring their written scores to life cleanly and professionally.
Teaching Style
Students working with me can expect a warm, highly encouraging, and entirely student-centered learning environment. Because I am exceptionally patient, I tailor every class to your unique learning pace—there is never any rush, and I take the time you need to grasp and enjoy the material truly.
In our very first lesson, we will discuss your background, musical inspirations, and objectives so we can map out a clear, step-by-step path forward together.
I believe that consistency, patience, and a strong foundational understanding of theory are the keys to lasting musical confidence. My lessons blend practical, hands-on playing with creative problem-solving, ensuring you not only know how to play or write a piece but also understand the why behind it. Whether you are taking your first steps on the piano, mastering notation software, or refining your accompaniment skills, I am here to guide your progress every step of the way, exactly at your pace.
Curriculum
My teaching methodology is entirely student-driven, grounded in the belief that music education should be engaging, supportive, and tailored to how you learn best. I pride myself on exceptional patience, breaking down complex concepts into manageable, bite-sized steps so you never feel overwhelmed.
Pacing Around You: We move at your pace. Whether a concept needs extra review or you are ready to power ahead, the lesson tempo is dictated by your comfort level.
Theory Meets Practice: I integrate foundational music theory directly into practical playing. You will learn the mechanics behind chords, rhythms, and notation so you understand the why, not just the how.
Interactive Digital Workflows: For composition, arrangement, and notation students, we use screen sharing and real-time collaboration in software to turn abstract ideas into clean, professional scores.
Goal-Oriented Milestones: Every student has a unique destination—whether it is playing a favorite song, accompanying others, or writing original music. We set clear, achievable milestones to track your progress and celebrate your wins along the way.
