As an established, self-taught knitter of 16 years and a proud member of The Knitting Guild Association (TKGA), I understand firsthand both the joy and the occasional frustration of learning this art. Because I taught myself, I know exactly where beginner hands tend to get stuck, how to break down complex patterns into simple, doable steps, and how to fix mistakes without stress.
To me, knitting is more than just turning yarn into fabric—it is a practice of mindfulness, patience, and purpose. One of the most rewarding parts of my teaching is helping students weave in the life lesson of finishing what they start. We will not only build your technical skills, from cast-on to bind-off, but we will also build the momentum and habits you need to take every project across the finish line with pride.

Curriculum
My teaching method on Zoom is highly interactive, visual, and focused on building real-time confidence. I use a clear, multi-angle camera setup so you can see every loop, yarn over, and needle movement up close, just as if you were sitting right next to me. Rather than rushing through patterns, we focus on hand positioning, tension control, and understanding how stitches work so you can read your work naturally.
Because online lessons move at your pace, every session is tailored to your specific goals. I place a strong emphasis on proactive error correction—teaching you how to spot a dropped stitch, fix tension inconsistencies, and back up safely without panicking. Most importantly, I structure lessons to build momentum so you stay motivated, troubleshoot with ease, and experience the satisfaction of taking every project across the finish line.

Essential Tool Setup for Zoom Lessons:
A pair of medium-sized light-colored needles (US Size 7 to 9 / 4.5mm to 5.5mm) made of bamboo or wood, which keep stitches from slipping easily.
Smooth, medium-weight (Worsted/DK) yarn in a light, solid color so your stitches are easy for both of us to see on camera.
A tapestry needle, a pair of small scissors, and locking stitch markers for troubleshooting and finishing.
