Hi, I’m Shey! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and an academic background that has involved studying, researching, presenting, and communicating in English. I also achieved an overall IELTS Academic score of 7.5.

English has been an important part of both my academic and professional journey, and over time I became especially interested in helping other people feel more comfortable using it themselves.

I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about their experiences, careers, studies, and interests. That is one of the things I like most about teaching: every student brings something different to the conversation.

Outside of teaching, I’m interested in science, healthcare, research, travel, culture, and learning new things, so I’m always happy to have conversations about a wide range of topics.

I especially enjoy working with students who want English to become something they can actually use confidently in their everyday, academic, or professional lives.

My teaching style is supportive, interactive, and highly personalized. I want students to feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes without feeling judged.

I balance conversation with structured correction, so students are not only speaking more but also improving their grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structure at the same time.

I adapt the difficulty and pace of each lesson to the student. Some students benefit from more correction and grammar explanation, while others need more speaking time and confidence-building. I also like to use topics that are actually relevant to the student’s interests, work, studies, or daily life so that the language feels useful and natural.
