About

I have 10+ years of experience in vocal performance from musical theatre leads to opera solo performances. I have a Bachelors of Vocal Performance from Wilfrid Laurier in which I majored in classical voice. I also have several years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am in my second year of teacher's college to become a music teacher.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is student-led. I believe music should be both fun and educational. My role as an educator is to share my knowledge while following each student's passions, interests, and goals. I tailor every lesson to the individual, creating a supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop strong vocal technique, and enjoy the learning process.

Lessons typically focus on either vocal technique or repertoire. During technical work, I guide students through exercises that build a strong foundation for healthy vocal skills, tailored to the genre we are studying and each student's individual goals. Repertoire is selected collaboratively, either from my collection of songs or from music the student is excited to learn. This approach keeps lessons engaging while ensuring students continue to grow as confident, versatile singers.
