Stelios Kyriakidis

Greek guitarist and composer Stelios Kyriakidis creates melodic, atmospheric music drawing on neoclassical, folk and cinematic influences. Combining a background in electric and classical guitar with composition, his work moves between intimate acoustic writing and expansive, cinematic sound worlds.

His music has been featured on BBC Radio London, Resonance FM, BCfm and Radio Panik, while his performances have taken him across the UK, Greece, Germany, Hungary and the United States. He has appeared at venues and events including Green Note, Sofar Sounds, Good Vibrations Festival and the 21st Century Guitar Conference.

A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Stelios has also composed for film, dance and theatre. His second full-length album, 9 Moments, was released in February 2026. He is currently performing across the UK and Europe while developing material for his next album.

I am a professional guitarist and composer with over 17 years of experience teaching privately and in schools. I hold a postgraduate qualification in classical guitar and am DBS checked.

Alongside teaching classical and acoustic guitar, I am an active composer and regular performer. This allows me to help students not only develop their technique and musical understanding, but also explore their creativity, write their own music, improvise and develop the confidence to perform.

Whether you are picking up the guitar for the first time, preparing for an exam, or looking to develop your own musical voice, I tailor lessons to your individual goals, interests and level.

I offer lessons in:

• Classical and Acoustic Guitar: All levels, from beginners to advanced players.

• Music Theory: Up to Grade 5.

• Creativity: Songwriting, composition, improvisation, developing and organising musical ideas, and bringing original pieces to performance.

• Exam Preparation: ABRSM and Trinity exams, with a 100% Merit or Distinction rate among my students.

My aim is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can build strong musical foundations while discovering their own individual relationship with music.
