Kathryn Clark

I am a professional teacher and freelance musician. I have been playing the bassoon for about 17 years. I studied at the Eastman School of Music and currently hold a Bachelors of Music from UT Austin where I will be attending graduate school, fall 2017, on a full ride.

My main mentors have been Valentin Martchev, Principle Bassoon of the San Diego Symphony, and Kristin Wolfe Jensen, Professor of Bassoon at UT Austin.

I am an international semi-finalist at MQVC, and substitute bassoonist with the Lincoln, Omaha and Round Rock symphonies.

I am very focused on fundamentals as I firmly believe that they are the fastest route to making music!
