Rachel Bearinger
About
Rachel Bearinger is an educator, guitarist, trumpeter, and songwriter. In teaching, she is guided by the philosophy that students are most motivated when they can work on music that they are genuinely excited about while building strong fundamentals and lifelong musicianship skills.
Rachel first picked up guitar and piano at eight years old, and has since performed with various groups across the Midwest U.S., as well as in New York City, London, England, and southern Brazil. Her work is rooted in classical and jazz music, but expands to the folk, classic rock, pop, and theater genres. Currently, she performs her original music as a singer-songwriter and plays guitar and sings in the Twin Cities-based bluegrass/folk outfit St. Rangers.
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa’s instrumental music education program and is an inductee of Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honor society.
