Teaching Style

I believe strongly in the gradual release model of instruction. In this model, I will demonstrate a technique and then practice the technique along with you. After you have begun to master the technique with me, then you will practice the technique on your own. I also feel it is important for students to feel involved in their learning experience. For this reason, I will choose some of the curriculum and repertoire, but I highly encourage students to bring pieces of their own choosing to lessons.
