7 Years Teaching on Lessonface
Cello, Violin

About

I am a third-year student at the University of Central Missouri studying digital media production. There, I am able to combine my love for music and my love for film by making short films and writing scores for them. I have a total of twelve years of experience in playing the violin starting from when I was eight years old. I also have six years experience on the cello. During my musical career, I have tutored peers on the violin to prepare for auditions or playing tests and entered many state music competitions. During my free time on campus, I play the violin for events, the most notable event being the Miss Africa Pageant when I took a popular violin song and played it on the violin by ear. My hope is to inspire anyone that I tutor to love the violin as much as I do.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is very engaged and personable. While I will ensure that my student knows the proper information and plays correctly, there will always be mutual respect. I make sure I never talk down to a person just because I know something that they do not. I want everyone in the situation to be comfortable, confident, and able to appropriately express themselves as one should when playing music.
