Brittany Luke

I am an experienced science teacher at the high school level. I have taught grades 9-12 in subjects including Biology, AP Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry, and Physics. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Science Education.

When in a traditional classroom, I believe that the best learning takes place in a student-centered environment and an inquiry-based approach. In this way, students work collaboratively to come to their own understanding through exploration. In a one-on-one teaching environment, I believe this approach should be tailored so that the teacher plays a more active role in helping students come to this understanding while still being student-centered and the instruction is individualized for each student based on their interests and aptitudes.
