About
I am a retired public school math teacher of 30 plus years. I graduated with a B.S. in Math from Towson University. I have taught all math subjects from 6th grade to community college, from special needs to gifted students, from one on one to classes of 100, and most recently online which I love the best! I had a 96% pass rate for the state of Maryland's Algebra High School assessment test, a test needed to receive a high school diploma. I teach in a way I needed to be taught: one small step at a time. If I can understand it you can! Let me help get rid of that Math low self esteem! I teach General Math (fractions, decimals, per-cents), Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, ACTand SAT prep.
Teaching Style
Math is an hierarchal process. I start every concept from "below ground" and work up one step at a time, allowing any kind of question as to why I did what I did. Online is an excellent forum for questions to be asked in private.
