Hannah Wilcox

Hello there! My name is Hannah Wilcox, and I have been a music teacher for about 7 years now! I began music when I was 10 years old with piano lessons every week, and I was so excited to learn to read music and play an instrument! When I entered junior high, I joined the band and began playing French Horn. I absolutely fell in love with the instrument and decided to attend West Texas A&M University for a degree in music education. During my time here, I was given so much opportunity to travel the world and PLAY! I was principal of the Symphonic Band, the Symphony Orchestra,  a member of the Horn Choir, and the Brass Choir. I began teaching students through the local high schools and junior highs and grew to a studio of 25 students. I love teaching, and I love music, I cannot wait to share my passions with you and help you reach all your goals! 

I have developed a warm up packet used to work on technique, and overcome many common challenges such as high and low range on horn, tongue technique, slurs, and flexibility. I am happy to share this packet with lesson students, and work on additional material the student brings such as solos, band or school music, audition material, or a fun pop piece they may want to learn. I believe in constructive criticism, and showing students how much fun it is to make music!
