Cindy Pack

Cindy Pack has been a member of the New York City music and education community for almost two decades. She has performed as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist in a diverse spectrum of venues ranging from the Juilliard School and Steinway Hall to legendary rock clubs C.B.G.B and Irving Plaza. She believes strongly in bridging the gap between genres and developing a thorough knowledge and appreciation of music. She currently fronts the trio No Valentine where her guitar, vocal and songwriting  skills are on full display. No Valentine's music has appeared in TV shows and films and is played regularly on domestic and international radio stations.

Cindy has been teaching students of all ages for the last 20 years. She believes in a relaxed but thorough learning experience where the student becomes familiar with the language of music and then explores their personal goals and interests. Learning should be fun, creative  and rewarding!

Guitar lessons will include:

1. •Reading and fret board theory
2. •Solo playing and improvisation
3. •Rhythm and lead styles
4. •Strumming patterns
5. • Songwriting ( including vocal and lyrics development )
6. •Standards, blues, pop, country and
   
   rock and roll

Piano lessons will include:

1.  • musicianship, theory and technique
2.  •Tools for improvisation through an exploration of chords and harmonic structures
3.  •Exploration of a range of styles including classical, blues, country, rock and roll, pop and boogie
4.  •Song writing and accompaniment skills

Vocal Lessons will include

1. Strengthening vocals through exercise and proper breathing, working on songs to get the most out of your individual style and vision.
