About
I am a Pharmacist by profession who is passionate about science and drug discovery. I also like music and playing with children. I hold a PhD in Organic Chemistry which entailed developing new inhibitors for various diseases using Computer Aided Drug Design Approaches(CADD) and validation by organic synthesis. I love writing. I have published scientific content in my tenure, but I also am a hopeless romantic which shaped a lot of my writing in my high school years.
Teaching Style
Throughout my studies I have always been teaching during my spare time. I am good at explaining concepts and simplifying sciences that many find intimidating. I also like one on one teaching as this allows to understand where the student is really at as some people are too shy in classroom environments. I base my classes on individualism and grasping of foundational principles. I like to assess students before I start lessons to see where the student is struggling and how best they can be assisted. I also use visual aids to explain concepts. Under my guidance, students have graduated and excelled in their academic journey.
Curriculum
Student texts vary depending on the syllabus one is taking. I normally work with the text or syllabus that the student is already working on as this limits confusion, unless the student requests to switch to something else. I have a lot of experience in teaching the Cambridge syllabus as I am very familiar with it having studied it myself and most of my students who requested tutoring were using the Cambridge syllabus. I haven't had problems though teaching students using different syllabi as the foundational principles are the same. I have seen from experience that regardless of the syllabus one is taking, science principles remain the same.
