Matt Stover

My name is Matt Stover and I just graduated Northern Illinois University with a bachelors degree in music. If you're interested in learning more about me, here’s some additional information:

-Chicago Bulls NBA active drummer for 8 years

-Performed at Lollapalooza with electronic artist Ekoli

-Marched 3 years in Phantom Regiment Drum Corp. on snare and was drum captain in 2015

-Marched 1 year in Colts Drum Corp. 

-Performed 5 year in WGI group Cavaliers Indoor Percussion

-Performed at PASIC in 2018

-4 years accompanying NIU dance classes with world percussion grooves

-NIU marching band 1 year on Tenors/Quads

-Performed in jazz combo at NIU

Teaching:

-Taught Shadow Drum Corp. 2 years

-I've been teaching private lessons for 12 years now both in person and online 

-Taught Middle School Percussion Ensembles 

-Battery Caption head at LWMB and Wheaton Warrenville South as well as other places over the years such as Lake Park, Plainfield

-Taught in Music Matters music shop

-Currently hold the percussion director position at Minooka High School where I also direct the Minooka Indoor Percussion
