Jennifer Riddle

Jennifer Riddle received her Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2017, where she performed in the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, the Luminous Brass Quintet, and the Pit Orchestra.  Her primary teacher was Dr. Scott Nelson.

Prior education includes a Bachelor of Music from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, where she studied both classical and jazz performance with Dr. Wayne Bennett and Dr. Drew Hayes.  Jennifer grew up in and attended the public schools in Fairfax County, VA, where she enjoyed playing in the symphonic, jazz, marching, and all-district bands.

Jennifer currently performs in various classical, jazz, and theater ensembles, as well as for special events such as weddings and church services.  In addition to assisting with local elementary through high school band programs, Jennifer loves teaching private lessons and sharing her passion for music and the joy of discovery with all her students.

I design a personalized curriculum for each student based on their abilities and interests, and encourage personal and musical growth through short- and long-term goal-setting, practice skills, and organizational habits.
