Niamh Ward

Niamh plays a number of instruments including tinwhistle, button accordion and bodhran. She comes from a family steeped in Traditional Irish Music. 

Down the years Niamh has won numerous All Ireland medals in the tin whistle, tin whistle slow airs, bodhran and accordion competitions. 

Graduated with B.A in Music & Irish in the Irish World Academy  of Music & Dance  in the University of Limerick .

Niamh has featured on her sisters Irish Traditional Music CD "The Black Swan" launched in June 2015 and as a performer om RTE . TG4,  RTE Radio 1, Radio na Gaelteachta just a few to mention. 

She has also been recorded on the Leitrim Equation CD 2 with Dervish (2009) and Leitrim Equation 3 (2013) . She has performed alongside artists such as  Seamus Begley, Donal Lunny and John Carty.
