Teaching Style

Because I was self-taught, I became very aware of the student process. I know how difficult it can be to stay motivated. My teaching style is fun and relaxed. I never want my students to feel stressed. I focus very much on individual pace. Some people may learn slower than others, and that is okay! My students are my friends, and as your friend I never want you to feel stressed about your pace or progress. With all the stress we have in daily life, my goal is to help you develop an outlet through art. In art, you should have absolute freedom. I am here to help you hone your talent, not to stifle it with deadlines and non-constructive criticisms. I am so excited to chat! Thank you!

Curriculum

There are no extra purchases needed for my ASL course, the only courses that may require purchase are music classes. Possible purchases would be a piano, guitar, guitar tuner, guitar capo, piano bench/chair. I share a community ultimate guitar account with my students that I pay for, this is so you do not have to pay for the teaching tools I use.

Credentials & Affiliations

I am currently attending college to attain a bachelor's degree in Spanish language and ASL community interpreting. I have been signing for 6 years now. I have worked with many deaf people and have immersed myself in deaf culture. I am very educated on deaf culture and the inner workings of ASL. I am going to pursue a career as an interpreter because ASL is my passion.
