Hello!
My name is Michael Acosta, I am 19 years old and am originally from Reno,NV. Currently I am a College student attending ASU. I have much experience in the Percussive Marching Arts and would like to help you become the best player you can be to make the line! Best for Beginners and those just getting into the activity searching for guidance on how to progress and what to expect.
Teaching Style
My Teaching Style focuses on the SNARE drum and BASS drum sub-sections of the DRUMLINE. (All drummers welcome)

I will be teaching out of Tom Hannum's book CHAMPION CONCEPTS FOR MARCHING PERCUSSION.
Reviewing Rhythms & Check Patterns, Drumming Vocabulary, Technique, Timing, and More!
Recommend you have a pair of sticks and pad.

Credentials & Affiliations
Teacher for the Robert McQueen HS Pre-Lancer Program. Essentially, a group of us staff members would welcome kids from the near by middle school to learn percussion. Experienced or not!
I will be honest, I am just a college student looking to make some spare money while blessing the next generation of drummers with what I have been passed down.
I have been on the Drumline since the start of Highschool. Worked my way up to Center Snare by Senior year. I was also the Section Leader for our percussion program.
I have also auditioned for a few DCI groups such as the Mandarins, Blue Devils, and Troopers D&B. ALTHOUGH, NEVER MARCHED DCI.
