About
Hello. I am a composer of classical, film, stage, and church music. I love helping students learn about how music works and allow them to grow in thier ability to make music.
Teaching Style
I have composed many singer/songwriter songs as well as full orchestral and wind ensemble pieces. I have also written a short musical. I have a masters degree in music composition and enjoy teaching music theory so that students can understand, read, play, and create music more effectively.
Curriculum
I want to encourage students to listen critically to the music they enjoy and find out how it works. I then want them to create music they would enjoy listening to or playing.
Credentials & Affiliations
I have a bachelors of music from Summit University and a Masters of Music Composition from Houghton College.
