Daysha Conway

Hi! I am Daysha, and my passion is teaching and playing piano. I graduated with degrees in Education, English, Music, and Journalism and earned a master's degree in Education. I have 25 years experience teaching private and group piano lessons.  Helping my students learn and discover more about themselves through the learning process is what motivates me.

I am a piano studio owner and instructor and have been instilling the love of music in students for 25 years. Many of these students have taken lessons from me from age 5-18. I am comfortable teaching the very beginner to the experienced pianist. I am also very comfortable teaching both young children to adults.

I bring a lot of energy into my lessons, yet I am very patient. I want learning to be fun and engaging, and a student should leave our lessons feeling inspired and more confident in their skills and in themselves. Each student has a unique learning style, and I will adjust my lessons accordingly. Most importantly, I want my students to build on their current skills, gain new knowledge, and gain the confidence to help them succeed!

Online piano lessons have proved to be an more effective way for me to not only teach, but my students have progressed at a much faster rate than those I see in person.  Through the scree, we can music-share, annotate music, play theory games, and see multiple camera views of my hands, music, and so much more!

My teaching style is relaxed, and I offer encouragement every step of the way.  My teaching mantra is "I do, we do, you do" so a student feels confident and comfortable when he or she plays.  If I see a skill isn't where it needs to be, I stop and use reinforcement tools to work on that skill, mainly through quick review games, apps, and more!
