About

Hi! I’m Teo, a professional bassist, producer, and live/session musician from Lithuania. I’ve been playing bass for over 10 years and have performed and toured with a variety of local and national artists, including live shows and TV performances.

I offer one-to-one online bass lessons tailored to your goals, interests, and level of experience. Whether you’re picking up the bass for the first time, want to become a more confident player, or are looking to develop your skills as a professional musician, we can build the lessons around what you actually want to learn.

Lessons can cover:

  • Bass technique — fingerstyle, slap, tapping, harmonics, muting and more
  • Building interesting and musical basslines
  • Learning and understanding your favourite songs
  • Improvisation, groove and soloing
  • Music theory and applying it directly to the bass
  • Composition and songwriting
  • Developing your own sound and tone
  • Recording, production and getting your bass to sound great in a mix

I believe the best way to learn is by connecting technique and theory to actual music. Instead of simply learning exercises, we can work with songs, grooves and musical ideas that you enjoy and gradually develop the skills to create your own.

All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced players.

If you have a particular song, style, technique or musical goal in mind, feel free to get in touch, and we can build the lesson around it. I look forward to meeting you!

Teaching Style

I teach relaxed, practical one-to-one lessons online. Each lesson is adapted to the student rather than following a fixed curriculum, so we can focus on the music and skills that are most relevant to you.

I like to connect technique and music theory to real playing. For example, instead of learning a scale purely as an exercise, we might use it to build a bassline, improvise over a groove, or understand a song you’re learning.

Depending on your goals, lessons can include playing exercises, learning songs, improvisation, composition, recording and production. I also encourage students to bring their own musical ideas and questions to lessons — the goal is to help you become a more independent and creative musician.

Curriculum

My teaching method is practical and student-focused. We’ll usually work with a combination of exercises, songs, musical examples and your own playing.

I adapt the material to your current level and goals, whether that means building fundamental technique, learning a specific song, improving your groove, understanding harmony, developing improvisation skills, or working on your own compositions.

For students who want additional structure, I can also provide practice material and exercises to work on between lessons.

No specific textbook is required. When appropriate, I may recommend learning materials based on your level, interests and goals.
