Nicoli Hutchison

Hello! I am an experience music teacher and acting coach. I have been performing and studying piano, voice, guitar, and acting for nearly 20 years. I have performed in piano bars and venues across the world as a singer and pianist. I have experience writing music, performing, and teaching. I have been teaching students for nearly 6 years. I currently teach at the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts private arts school and am extending to online as well now! 

I tailor lessons to each students individual needs and preferences. I teach the basics of sheet reading as well as ear playing and music theory. I let the students choose their own songs and styles and we work towards the students goals through their favorite music. I encourage each student to really understand how to build to their goal in their own practice time while encouraging them to take ownership of what we have covered. I encourage students to participate in recitals and performances as much as possible!
