Teaching Style
I have been accumulating pedagogical experience in the chamber ensemble class while working with students of string and wind instruments, piano department. There are laureates of international competitions in my class at the conservatory.
At the same time, I like very much working with children with whom I use modern international methods of early music education. I've worked with 2-year-old children, with the help of their parent's using the Suzuki method.
That is why I have experience working with children and adults both in a group and individually with different age groups.
I have been playing on stage since 7 years old. As a soloist and ensemble player, she has performed in numerous concerts, competitions, and festivals. I have experience playing with a symphony orchestra as well. After all my official education I continue to study and develop skills all the time: attending a great number of festivals, seminars, conferences, training modules.
I believe that the main good teacher’s qualities are kindness, sincerity, high professionalism, and love for the “subject”, patience, and faith.
I like to use the acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities from different fields of activity, use the knowledge of various techniques and approaches, use all kinds of memory in the process of training and maximize the ability of the brain and improvise in work. I strive to find an individual approach to students, encourage them. I try to feel him / her human qualities and comprehensively develop them. Joy and a sense of psychological security promote the acquisition of self-confidence and arouse the student's interest in lessons.
Curriculum
Inasmuch as I research different methods and approaches for teaching piano, I combine modern international methods to achieve optimal results depending on personal preference and the level of the student's skills.
So, I use such methods and approaches: the Orff approach, the Kodaly, the Suzuki and the Jaques-Dalcroze methods.
I use interactive books, as well as “Hello Piano" by Irina Mints”, Faber Method Book series.
I really like to work with a variety of cards and games, for instance, Music Mind Games.
As a bonus, using musical notes in Sanskrit from yoga knowledge, we can clean chakras with sound.
In my lessons with students, I use a lot of additional literature and sheet music. I am constantly striving to diversify my repertoire. I share these materials both on the screen during the lesson and give them to study for homework.
