Every lesson is about the student.  I meet students where they are at and go from there.  Every lesson includes creativity (style and composition), thought (music theory) and context (music history).

With a B.S. in Music and over 25 years experience in teaching piano lessons, general music, Kindermusik and Boomwhackers as well as experience as Music Director in Community Theater, in various churches and schools, I want to enrich your student's life with the gift of music.  Although I specialize in children, ages 6-12, and in classical training and church worship music, I am always able to accommodate a special project piece of your student's interest.

I have recently become certified as an online music teacher through Carly Walton's Teach Music Online course.  I use an interactive curriculum with lots of fun apps and games to introduce or reinforce a concept.  Every lesson includes music theory, music history, review and new concepts and of course their assignments.  I try to also include sight reading and composition when we have time.  I provide annual assessments and 2 recitals a year.
