About
I'm currently a Music Education Student at San Jose State University. I have played the clarinet for 10 years. I have played/currently play in major ensembles, chamber groups as well as a solo musician.
Teaching Style
My focus in beginner students is to develop good habits from learning what a good sound is, to proper hand position. I believe that once a fundamental ground is set, it's easier for a student to teach themselves in the long run and become efficient and self driven musicians.
Curriculum
I am a firm believer of fundamentals. Learning about what makes a good sound from the first time, as well as scales that builds efficient dexterity in the fingers. I believe in having various things on the students weekly assignment, to improve in more than one aspect. The two beginner books I work off of are the 32 Rose Etudes and the Albert Scales.
