I am a conservatory trained musician with more than 20 years experience playing in bands and teaching. I offer theory courses up to introductory harmony and can prepare the student for the royal conservatory's examination.
Teaching Style
Each student is different and there's no one fit all philosophy of teaching. I like to adjust to the student's pace so that he/she will feel comfortable. I have many teaching aids at my disposal to help enrich a student's learning ability. That being said, it is the student's responsibility to do the assigned work in order to profit the mosst from the material being delivered in the course.
Curriculum
It is recommended that the student gets the book(s) from the royal conservatory for the courses. However, if money is a limitation a simple staff book or loose pages and a notebook will suffice provided the student has access to the internet for online assignments.
