As a teacher, what sets me apart is my unique background and approach to teaching. Growing up in a family of teachers and lecturers, education has always been a part of my life. Being exposed to both British and Brazilian cultures has given me a wide range of musical influences that I like to incorporate into my teaching. I believe that a well-rounded education includes not just technical skills, but also cultural and historical context. That's why I like to go beyond basic chord progressions and delve into the rich history behind each style of music. By doing so, I aim to give my students a more complete understanding and appreciation of the music they are learning. In addition, my years of experience as a session musician and band leader have given me a real-world understanding of what it takes to be a successful musician. I have collaborated with a variety of artists and performed at various venues, festivals, and on radio. I have also organized successful events across the UK and Europe with my function band, The Headliners, catering to weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

Over the pandemic, I refined my online teaching to be as productive and effective as possible with over 100 online students, I was able to thoroughly test out new methods and find the most suitable strategies for maximizing the online lesson format.

Finally, my experience teaching in one-to-one settings, small groups, and larger groups of children has given me a proven track record of success as a peripatetic guitar teacher at several music academies. Whether you're a beginner looking to progress beyond basic chords, or an intermediate guitarist striving for professional-level playing, I can help you develop skills such as techniques, improvisation, theory and playing by ear. All of these factors combine to make me a unique and effective teacher, one who can help you achieve your musical goals while giving you a deeper appreciation of the art form.
