I've been playing the fiddle for 11 years now. I have played professionally in Ceilidh bands all over the country for weddings, birthdays, fund raisers and other events.
I am the winner of the 52nd Deer Creek Fiddlers Convention, held in Maryland, USA. A competition for players of Appalachian fiddle music.
I have taught informally for many years and have recently begun more structured teaching online and have students in the UK, Europe and the US.

Traditional fiddle music is intimately connected with dance. The details of individual lessons will change from student to student but will have at the core, a focus on bringing out the 'danceability' in your playing.
I teach by ear, building up tunes and techniques to allow students to learn independently.
