Music is a worldwide phenomenon. It is literally everywhere. Wherever people are, their daily lives probably include music in one form or another.

As a performer of music, you experience very complex concepts and emotions. Playing an instrument can be rewarding in so many ways. I will break it down for you so you know what, why, and how to sound amazing, no matter what you play.

Most of my teaching centers around two primary topics:

1. MAKING A GOOD SOUND. Neuro-Mechanics is the basis of Artificial Intelligence. It is also the means by which you operate your instrument. Humans have amazing brains and are capable of "Natural Intelligence". I will help you understand how to improve communication from your brain to your muscles needed to perform well.

2. MUSICAL EXPRESSION. As your technique improves, I will help you shape your musical phrases so your music has direction and meaning.

I use this approach no matter what instrument or genre you choose. The building blocks of great music are essentially the same. It is also true whether you are playing an existing composition, an original composition, or improvising.

Where did the word educate come from?

From Latin educatus, past participle of educare (“to "bring up or rise up or train or mold or nourish" (a child, physically or mentally), rear, educate, train (a person in learning or art).

I focus on your objectives, time available for personal practice, age, education and your existing skill-set. My job is to help bring out the best talent in you. You'll learn how music is the end product when emotional expression meets controlled sound vibration.
