Collin Winters

Hello, my name is Collin Winters! I'll cut right to the chase, the YouTube video in my profile is a song I released a few months ago. I chose this because I played every single instrument and sang every part on this song, I wrote this song by myself and I produced it by myself. I am 21 years old and am currently attending Texas State University in the Music Education program, and I love teaching lessons and working with students to help them achieve their own personal goals! I don't run lessons with a "Book by book" program, I believe that every students goals are different, and that every lesson should be catered towards them, not the teacher. I would can teach drum set, guitar, bass, piano and song writing/production!

I've worked at 3 different high schools in central Texas, specifically with the percussion section. I've been in the Texas State Wind Symphony for two years now. I have many glowing references I'd love to give you if you're unsure about me! I don't want to waste your time!

As previously mentioned, my teaching style is much more "student" based than "teacher" based. I don't believe in applying the same plan to every single student. I always take my first private lesson to learn everything I can about the students interests, goals, and achievements! I then take my own time to cater a plan specifically towards them, and if at any point they want to change the way the lessons are going, I will always be all for that! I believe that if the student isn't invested in what they are doing, then there's no point to do it.
