Ljiljana Spasojević
About
Greetings! My name is Ljiljana, an accomplished accordion teacher with a profound passion for music education. With over 20 years of experience playing accordion I am thrilled to offer my expertise.
During my years as a student, I had the honor of winning numerous prizes at competitions, which further fueled my dedication to music. Since then, I have embarked on a fulfilling teaching career, sharing my knowledge with aspiring musicians for the past five years. I firmly believe in cultivating a positive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
I play button (B griff) and piano accordion. The success of my students in both Serbian and international competitions has been truly remarkable. They have secured numerous first prizes at renowned events such as the Australian International Music Championships and Festival, the International Accordion Competition in Pula, and the Days of Accordion Ugljevik in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to teaching, I have actively participated in chamber music as a member of the AccoFem trio. Together, we have achieved remarkable accomplishments, including winning first prizes at prestigious events such as the Australian International Music Championships and Festival, the Days of Accordion Bosnia and Herzegovina competition, and the International Competition Isidor Bajic in Novi Sad.
Teaching Style
My approach to teaching stands out because I create unique plan tailored for each student, monitor their progress, and adjust the material accordingly. In addition to following the school curriculum, I always like to include compositions or songs that are interesting and familiar to the students, making practise much more enjoyable for them. I am open to discussion and give students the opportunity to choose the pieces they would like to learn to play.
Curriculum
I strive to explain the material in the simplest way possible, ensuring that my students can easily understand and apply what they've learned. After each lesson, I typically send my students video tutorials so they can review the material and clearly see what needs to be done. However, I am also strict about correcting mistakes and ensuring that the pieces are played correctly.
