About

I'm a Canadian currently living in Berlin, and I wear many hats: music teacher, mom, writer, and artist. Teaching piano is my passion because I love working with new learners and sharing the joy of music. I believe in awakening your musical talent and passion, helping you express yourself, and developing a meaningful hobby that enriches your identity and soul.

For me, turning music into an integral part of someone's life is a deeply rewarding experience. I'm skilled at explaining seemingly complicated concepts in a way that makes sense to you, considering your age and cultural background. Let's make music a vibrant part of your life!

Teaching Style

My courses are designed for beginners and advanced beginners. Since the age of 6, I have been trained in the Suzuki method, which taught me how to play anything I hear. I’d love to share this skill with you because it's like having a musical superpower! My classes are fun and engaging, covering a bit of everything: ear training, techniques, and learning to play songs you love.

Curriculum

My teaching method draws from the Suzuki method, focusing on learning to play any song by ear. I start with simple songs composed of just five notes and gradually introduce more complex pieces to build your skills. In the first week, we decode simple songs like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Ode to Joy." As you progress, we'll tackle more challenging pop songs that include vocals, harmony, chords, and bass.

The goal is to train your ears to develop relative pitch, allowing you to understand and play music intuitively. This method empowers you to confidently figure out and perform a wide range of songs, turning your ear into a powerful musical tool.
