Hi! I’m Priscilla also known as Ms. P. to my students. I have over 20 years of experience as a certified Music and Art Mentor. Utilizing my passion and expertise in music and visual arts, I have guided many students along their creative journeys, whether it was mastering an instrument, developing vocal skills, exploring abstract painting, or engaging in photography and videography. I help my students achieve their artistic goals by identifying and overcoming obstacles that have prevented them from reaching their full potential. I personalize the learning experience for each individual based on their goals, interests, schedule, and budget. Before the first day of class, I send out an enthusiastic welcome email to introduce myself. We briefly discuss learning goals based on the visual literacy, technical, and intellectual competencies students wish to achieve, guided by a questionnaire. This helps me design or update the course to meet desired outcomes. The customized syllabus and schedule are then completed, along with a comprehensive strategy for our lessons. I consistently incorporate technology and prioritize inclusivity, believing everyone can learn regardless of their background or abilities. I engage with students by catering to their interests and openly share my versatility with them. My one-on-one teaching sessions start with a brief, one-minute meditation to help us ground ourselves before diving into the day's activities. This mindful practice sets a calm and focused tone. Following the meditation, we discuss and set individual intentions for the lesson, ensuring a personalized and purposeful learning experience.
