Beginner and low-intermediate violinists welcome!! I am a collegiate level violinist that has played in numerous weddings, quartets, auditions, and more. I started with guitar when I was 8. But it was my 6th grade when I picked up violin. As I got older and practiced more, I began working my way into playing gigs. Since then I've played at numerous weddings and churches in both quartets, trios, and solo performances. I even have a wedding coming up in the next two weeks that I must play at! This is what I've found that I enjoy most.
Teaching Style
As said, I am better suited for beginners to low-intermediate violinists. I am younger (18) but was trained by a teacher who followed the Suzuki method. My focus is mainly on poor habits, poor form, and other mistakes while playing. This includes problems with holding the violin, poor bow-hold, and other subjects such as vibrato and shifting. I do love teaching through scales, but if you have a piece you are practicing, or need a piece to learn that suits your skill level, or even need help with improving the quality of your practice, I am very able to help with that as well!
Curriculum
Scales is a large part of the way that I teach. I found that I improved the most through including scales in my practicing. Other ways that I teach include simply listening and watching how my student plays, and providing constructive critiques along the way!
Credentials & Affiliations
As said, my bulk of credentials comes from the auditions I have played in (One major competition was the Western Regional's Competition, I placed in the top 50 after which the top 50 played a concert at the end of the competition), numerous wedding gigs (I really take pride in performing for weddings), and any other venue that I have been asked to perform in.
