Justin Kissiar
About
Hi, I’m Justin Kissiar, a cellist with a rich background in teaching and performing. I’ve been a private music instructor since 2023, offering lessons that inspire students to achieve their musical goals. While cello is my primary focus, I also have strong proficiency in guitar and experience with trombone and piano, making me a versatile instructor for a range of musical interests.
Teaching Style
My teaching style focuses on making lessons easy to understand and enjoyable for each student. I tailor lessons to match your goals and interests, helping you build skills step by step while encouraging creativity. I aim to create a comfortable space where you feel supported and can learn from mistakes without stress. Together, we’ll work on achievable goals, whether you want to prepare for a performance, learn a favorite song, or just improve at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel confident and have fun as you grow as a musician.
Curriculum
My teaching method focuses on gradual skill development, starting with the basics and building up to more complex concepts. I focus on creating a solid foundation in technique while encouraging musical expression and creativity. I use a combination of direct instruction, interactive exercises, and performance practice to ensure students understand theory and can apply it practically. The goal is to develop strong technique, confidence, and musicality while making learning enjoyable and stress-free.
