About

Hello! I'm Giselle, a Colombian violinist and Suzuki-certified violin teacher based in Bogotá.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music with a specialization in Violin Performance and have over 8 years of professional performing experience and more than 5 years of teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have performed in chamber ensembles, chamber orchestras, and symphony orchestras, collaborating with ensembles such as Filarmónica del Café, Orquesta Sinfónica a la Colombiana, and the Conservatory Orchestra of the National University of Colombia.

I am currently a first violinist with Film Dreams Symphony Colombia, where I perform live film concerts and record professional soundtracks for Colombian cinema in studios such as Audiovisión.

As an educator, I have taught students of different ages and backgrounds through private lessons, music academies, and online instruction in both English and Spanish. I am a certified Suzuki violin teacher, with training in Suzuki Philosophy, Violin Books 1 and 2, and Teaching Strategies.

Alongside my work at Pronartes Academy of Music and Arts, I have been developing my own online violin studio, where I specialize in helping adults and beginners build strong technical foundations while enjoying the process of making music.

Teaching Style

I believe that education has the power to shape not only skilled musicians, but also confident, well-rounded individuals. This belief inspires my commitment to continuous learning, allowing me to better support both your musical and personal growth.

In every lesson, you can expect open communication, patience, empathy, and a supportive learning environment where you feel encouraged to grow at your own pace. I combine listening, encouragement, consistent practice, music reading, strong technical foundations, and complementary repertoire to create lessons that are both structured and enjoyable.

My main area of expertise is working with beginners. Since every student learns differently, I take the time to understand your goals, learning style, and musical interests so that each lesson is tailored to your needs.

From the very beginning, you will develop healthy posture, a beautiful tone, solid technique, and musical literacy, giving you the tools to become an independent musician. Every lesson is designed with clear objectives and practical exercises that help you make steady progress while building confidence.

Most importantly, I want you to enjoy the journey. Whether your dream is to play your favorite songs, classical repertoire, or simply experience the joy of making music, we'll work together to build the skills that will help you achieve it. Lessons are available in both English and Spanish.

I look forward to seeing you in class to work on your unique journey!
