Hello, I'm Ashton I am a musician from Celina, TX. I have been a student of music for 10+ years, and teaching at both Guitar Center and School of Rock for over two years. My approach to music is to first get to know the goal of my students, whether they're first time players or seasoned musicians I prioritize in structred planning crafted to each individual student.
Some of my own personal musical influences include Muse, Gojira, Tool, Pantera, and Deftones. My genres of expertise are metal, rock, alternative, progressive rock, and pop, but I love all genres.
Teaching Style
A lesson with me is anything but boring! My teaching style is all about keeping students entertained and engaged. I believe music shouldn't feel like a chore, which is why I focus on getting to know my students' goals and crafting lessons that are as fun as they are educational. Learning music becomes incredibly boring when you're not learning what you want to learn. With me, we'll dive into what you are intrested in.
Credentials & Affiliations
In college for my Associate of Arts I have completed courses such as music theory, audio enginnering, music composition, and commerical music theory. Currently, I am regrestering with Berklee Online to complete my Bachlors in Interdisciplinary Music Studies in the winter of 2026. Outside of schooling, I have been the guitarist of local Texan artisits such as Ella Red and Wren Silas and have played at local venunes such as Revelers Hall and the University of North Texas.
