About

I hold a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music with an emphasis in Guitar, earned in 2018. My formal training provided a strong foundation in classical guitar, electric guitar, music theory, performance, and contemporary music.

During my university years, I actively performed in numerous university-organized events and concerts throughout the Philippines. I participated in classical guitar ensemble performances as a classical guitarist and performed as an electric lead guitarist in university rock concerts and live music events. These experiences strengthened both my technical skills and stage performance while allowing me to collaborate with fellow musicians in a variety of musical settings.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience, beginning with face-to-face instruction before transitioning to online teaching, where I have taught students from around the world for more than six years. My teaching experience includes:

  • Lea de Castro Music Studio, Philippines (2016–2018) – Guitar Instructor
  • Melodica Music Center, Dubai, UAE (2018–2019) – Guitar Instructor
  • Buddy's Institute, Dubai, UAE (2019–2020) – Guitar Instructor
  • The Beat Music Academy, Dubai, UAE (2020–2022) – Guitar Instructor
  • Soul Sound of Music, Philippines (2024–2025) – Guitar Instructor

Throughout my career, I have taught children, teenagers, and adults ranging from complete beginners to advanced musicians. I teach classical guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele, and have successfully prepared students for internationally recognized music examinations, including ABRSM and Trinity, with many achieving excellent results.

My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and pace. Whether you want to build a strong technical foundation, improve your musicianship, prepare for graded examinations, or simply learn your favorite songs, I provide structured, engaging lessons that help students develop confidence while making consistent musical progress.

Teaching Style

My teaching approach is flexible, structured, and tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and pace. I teach students of all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians, creating lessons that are both challenging and enjoyable.

For students preparing for Trinity or ABRSM examinations, I provide organized, goal-oriented instruction that develops the technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence needed for success. For those learning for personal enjoyment, I focus on building solid fundamentals while helping them play the music they love.

Drawing from both classical and popular music, I integrate technique, music theory, ear training, rhythm, and musical expression into practical, engaging lessons. My goal is to help every student become a confident, independent musician while making steady and rewarding progress.

Curriculum

Every lesson is tailored to each student's goals, experience level, and learning style. My teaching combines structured instruction with a supportive and engaging approach, helping students develop strong technique, musical understanding, and confidence.

Lessons focus on essential skills such as technique, rhythm, music reading, ear training, music theory, and musical expression. Students progress through a combination of technical exercises, repertoire, sight-reading, and performance practice, ensuring steady improvement while enjoying the learning process.

Whether you're preparing for Trinity or ABRSM examinations, developing your performance skills, or learning to play your favorite songs, I provide clear guidance, personalized practice plans, and constructive feedback to help you achieve consistent, long-term progress.

I carefully select teaching materials based on each student's age, instrument, experience, and musical goals. Depending on the student's needs, lessons may incorporate the following resources:
