Trenton Minter
About
I am a professional guitarist with over 14 years of performance experience and 10 years of dedicated teaching. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music and have built a career performing and educating across a wide range of musical settings, including touring bands, musical theatre productions, wedding and corporate bands, and teaching rock camps.
My teaching experience includes all levels, from complete beginners picking up the guitar for the first time to advanced players refining technique, tone, improvisation, and performance readiness. I specialize in all major styles, including rock, blues, pop, country, worship, and contemporary guitar, and I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, learning style, and musical interests.
Teaching Style
As a working professional musician, I bring real world experience into every lesson, not just theory, but practical skills used on stage and in the studio. My approach focuses on developing confident, well rounded guitarists who understand both technique and musicality, while keeping lessons engaging, structured, and fun.
Whether you want to learn your first chords, prepare for auditions, improve improvisation, or perform professionally, I can help you reach your goals with a clear, personalized path.
Curriculum
Each student receives a clear path of development that focuses on technique, musical understanding, and performance ability. I encourage proper fundamentals, while also supporting creativity, improvisation, and musical expression.
Lessons are goal oriented and adaptable. For beginners, we build strong foundational skills step by step. For intermediate and advanced players, we focus on refining technique, expanding vocabulary, improving improvisation, learning repertoire, and preparing for live performance, recording situations, of focusing on individual goals.
My goal is always to develop confident, independent musicians who understand not just what to play, but why it works.
