About
I teach beginners to advance students. I can help you get a big sound and improvise effortlessly.
Help you read music and help develop your own sound
I have been playing for about 50 years. I live in Brooklyn, New York, the music capital of the world. I play with William Parker's Little Huey's Pocketwatch Orchestra. A few years ago I played with Cher and Darlene Love at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting.
I teach workshops called Make Your Own Music at the Brooklyn Public Library.
Teaching Style
As a teacher, I emphasizes listening, individuality, and the development of a personal musical language. I encourages students to engage deeply with sound, to take creative risks, and to view improvisation as both a discipline and a form of self-expression. My approach integrates technical development with conceptual exploration, helping students build both skill and artistic confidence.
