Sara Jade
About
Welcome! I’m Sara, a professional vocalist with over 15 years of performance experience across multiple genres including Rock, Americana, Pop, and Ballads. I’ve performed in bands, as a solo artist, and in musical theater productions, giving me a well-rounded perspective on both vocal technique and live performance. Recently, I had the opportunity to open for Jason Mraz, won a San Diego Music Award for Best Pop Song, and received sponsorship support for my artist project from Tunestr Livestreams and Dark Matter Audio Labs.
In addition to performing, I hold a Master’s in Education with a focus in School Counseling and have worked as an educator for over a decade. My teaching style is collaborative, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s goals. Whether you’re preparing for a live performance, a studio session, audition, or simply singing for the joy of it, I’ll be your coach, advocate, and biggest cheerleader throughout the process.
Above all, I believe music should feel expressive, empowering, and fun — because it always is. I’m so excited to work with you and help you grow as a vocalist and performer!
Teaching Style
As your vocal coach, I’ll help you discover new possibilities in your voice while giving you the guidance, support, and practical tools to apply what you learn in real-world performance settings. My lessons are highly collaborative and far from a typical classroom experience. Together, we’ll focus on your personal goals and build techniques you can confidently practice on your own between sessions.
What sets my teaching apart is my years of live stage experience. I don’t just teach you how to hit the right notes — I help you bring songs to life through authentic performance and emotional connection. I approach teaching as a creative collaborator, not just an instructor, because music is deeply personal, expressive, and joyful. My goal is to help you unlock that joy and fully express yourself through your voice.
Curriculum
My teaching style is collaborative, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s goals. Drawing from over 15 years of live performance experience across Rock, Americana, Pop, Ballads, and Musical Theater, I combine contemporary vocal technique with real-world performance coaching to help students build confidence, vocal freedom, and authentic stage presence.
Lessons focus on healthy technique, breath support, tone, range, phrasing, and emotional connection to music. I aim to give students practical tools they can confidently practice between sessions and apply in performances, auditions, recordings, or songwriting.
Above all, I believe singing should feel expressive, empowering, and fun.
